Designed to inspire a lifelong love of learning, our Elementary Program gives children space to ask big questions, pursue meaningful work, and build strong academic foundations through hands-on Montessori learning. Children engage in math, language, science, geography, history, cultural studies, research, practical life, movement, outdoor exploration, and real-world experiences beyond the classroom. In partnership with parents, we provide individualized academic support, regular communication, and a connected homeschool experience that includes field trips, special outings, meetups, workshops, and opportunities through the broader Roots & Wings community.
The program will run from August 2026 to May 2027

How is class time structured? Class time is structured around the Montessori work cycle, where children receive individual and small-group lessons, practice skills, explore big ideas, and follow meaningful work over time. The work cycle also includes movement, outdoor exploration, collaborative projects, practical life, cultural studies, and intentionally curated experiences that help children build independence, confidence, responsibility, and a deeper connection to their learning.
How do you assess progress without traditional testing? We use observations, portfolio work, and individual check-ins to assess students' growth. Instead of grades, students receive meaningful feedback that helps them set goals and reflect on their learning.
How does at-home support work? Montessori work emphasizes mastery, independence, and meaningful follow-up rather than traditional homework. Families may receive recommended at-home practices, project support, reading or math reinforcement, and guidance connected to their child’s goals. This home partnership helps children stay supported across both the Roots & Wings environment and their homeschool life.
What if I have more than one child? We offer a 10% sibling discount for families enrolling more than one child.
Is there a long-term option as my child grows? Yes! Our prograns are designed to grow with your child, continuing through age 12. This allows children to stay in a familiar, supportive community as they grow and deepen their learning.
Can my child transition to traditional school later? Yes! Montessori students develop strong academic and executive functioning skills that make them adaptable in any learning environment. The self-discipline and problem-solving abilities they gain are valuable in all educational settings.
