I’m Brittaney Parks, founder and Elementary Guide for Roots & Wings Montessori. I’m a Georgia Tech graduate with a B.S. in Biology, and my professional journey has taken me through scientific research, the corporate sector, and education. Along the way, I’ve seen how powerful exposure can be—how new environments, ideas, and opportunities can change the trajectory of a child’s life.
These experiences and my years of tutoring and teaching, homeschooling my own children, and building meaningful community relationships have all shaped my vision for Roots & Wings. I believe deeply in the value of creating learning spaces that are accessible, representative of the children and families within them, and rich in cultural celebration. Roots & Wings was created to be a safe and inclusive place where families feel supported and children can thrive.
Discovering Montessori as a homeschooling mom confirmed so much of what I had already believed about education: that children learn best when given the freedom to explore, the tools to be independent, and the space to grow as whole people. I am currently in formal Montessori training to earn my credential for the elementary 6–12 age group, deepening my ability to offer an authentic Montessori experience to the families I serve.
Roots & Wings Montessori is a nurturing space where children explore their interests, challenge themselves, and discover their unique strengths, while families find understanding, partnership, and community.
